Biography

RauLanda “Landy” Watley is a Program Officer in the Division of Research Programs, where she works across several programs for both institutional and individual applicants. Dr. Watley earned her PhD in English and Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies from Howard University in 2021. Her fields of research include contemporary African American literary studies and African American rhetoric across literature, music, and digital media. Dr. Watley received the 2019 Conference on College Composition and Communication Scholars for the Dream Award, the 2020 National Association of University Women Fellowship, and the 2021 Hurston/Wright Literary Arts Fellowship for her research.
