Biography

David Weinstein is a Senior Program Officer in the Division of Public Programs. He holds a B.A. in American studies from Brandeis University and a Ph.D. in American studies from the University of Maryland. He is the author of several articles and two books: The Eddie Cantor Story: A Jewish Life in Performance and Politics (University Press of New England/Brandeis University Press, 2017) and The Forgotten Network: DuMont and the Birth of American Television (Temple University Press, 2004). Weinstein has taught American history, media history, mass communication theory, and video production at the University of Maryland and George Mason University.
