The Holocaust and other genocides can be challenging to teach. Many educators report needing additional academic preparation and pedagogical support to teach these difficult topics effectively. Providing such support is the goal of this Institute. Travel to State College, PA and Philadelphia, PA, for intensive summer study focused primarily on the Holocaust, with connections to other genocides and human rights topics. Reflect systematically as you begin planning your classroom instruction for 2023-24. Then, gather regularly online throughout Fall 2023 to continue learning and for sustained support in implementing inquiry-based instruction of the Holocaust or another difficult topic. Join us!
