IHC COVID-19 emergency relief grant given to the BHHA

(May 6, 2020)

The Bishop Hill Heritage Association is pleased to announce that it has received an Illinois Humanities COVID-19 Emergency Relief grant of $2,500.

The BHHA is dedicated to preserving the heritage of the Bishop Hill Colony and passing it on to future generations. Like many other nonprofit historical organizations, funding has drastically decreased due to no visitor revenues. The IHC grant will be used to help cover the general operating expenses of the BHHA as we await the reopening of our facilities and the start of our activities. This funding is made possible in part by a grant from Illinois Humanities, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Illinois General Assembly. The Heritage thanks the IHC for their financial support during these uncertain times.
