CMN was recently notified as being awarded the National Endowment for the Humanities: Humanities Initiative Grant. The proposal is to create a course and curriculum titled a Field Lab in Mvskoke Culture that will combine research, Mvskoke history, and culture with a class participation project.

The project will include a trip to historical Mvskoke locations in the ancestral homelands of Georgia and Alabama. A cultural committee was created from CMN faculty and administration to direct the curriculum development of the culture, research, and the course project.

The Field Lab will culminate with a final report from each student using a variety of media format to tell the story of Mvskoke Etvlwv, Pakse, Mucv Nettv, momen Rempakse.
