As part of the Division of Education’s Dialogues on the Experience of War program, California State University, San Bernardino, received an NEH grant in 2016 to support a reading, viewing, and discussion program centered on veterans’ experiences. The project,  titled, 'From Ancient Greece to the Contemporary Middle East: Dialogues on the Experience of War,”' helps veterans address their experiences of war and reintegration into society using classical literature and the Trojan War in dialogue with letters, articles, literature, and documentaries about more recent conflicts.”

A video, created by NEH’s  Office of Communications, as part of an ongoing Web series, “In the Field,” looks at how this project is working.
