Invitation to the Keynote Address for Images and Texts in Medical History Workshop at the National Institutes of Health
As part of the Images and Text in Medical History Workshop, we invite you to a keynote address, The Analog Patient: Imagining Medicine at a Distance in the Television Era, by Jeremy Greene, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Medicine and the History of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University. The keynote will be held in Bethesda, MD, at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on Tuesday, April 12 from 11AM – 12PM.
NEH Awards Cooperative Agreement to Virginia Tech for “Images and Texts in Medical History” Workshop to be hosted at the US National Library of Medicine
The Office of Digital Humanities is pleased to announce the award for a cooperative agreement to fund the workshop, Images and Texts in Medical History: An Introduction to Methods, Tools, and Data from the Digital Humanities. The project is a collaborative effort among the NEH, Virginia Tech, the US National Library of Medicine, and the Wellcome Library. Virginia Tech historian E. Thomas Ewing will direct the workshop.
