Bread Givers

Join scholar Jay Hart in a discussion of "Bread Givers" this masterwork of American immigrant literature is set in the 1920s in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and tells the story of the youngest daughter of an Orthodox rabbi, who rebels against her father's rigid conception of Jewish womanhood.

Funded project of Utah Humanities, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
