Beyond Suffrage: 100 Years of Women and Politics in New York

October 4, 2017July 31, 2018

Tracing women’s political activism in New York City from the suffrage movement through today, and focusing on the trailblazing women who joined the political fray in the generations after suffrage, the Museum of the City of New York’s fall 2017 exhibition Beyond Suffrage: 100 Years of Women and Politics in New York will examine how the vote revolutionized women’s ability to bring about change inside and outside government.

This program was funded in part by a Humanities New York Action Grant.  Humanities New York is a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
