"Shakespeare's First Folio"

As part of the traveling exhibit First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare, Oklahoma Humanities Council is sponsoring a special event at the Sam Noble Museum featuring a lecture, performance, and Q&A. Shakespeare scholar and OU Professor of Renaissance Literature Dr. David Anderson will speak about the history of the First Folio. Shakespeare scholars and OU School of Drama professors Alissa Mortimer and Tom Orr will perform and discuss excerpts from Shakespeare's works, along with students from the School of Drama.

This event, presented by OU's Center for Medieval & Renaissance Studies, is free and open to the public.

Oklahoma Humanities Council is a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
