Pope Francis’s emphasis on the poor and marginalized has energized social justice in the Roman Catholic Church. Author Martin Weinstein, professor emeritus at William Paterson University, examines the foundations of the Pope’s philosophy, the history of the church in Latin America, and the rise of liberation theology.  A First Wednesdays lecture.
