Laura Ingalls Wilder: Moving West

January 10, 2015

Laura Ingalls Wilder: Moving West - Speaker: Janet Worthington

In her beloved series of books for young people, Laura Ingalls Wilder portrayed pioneer life as an idyllic adventure, filled with warmth and love.  As Laura, Janet Worthington recounts the westward movement and Pa’s consistent desire to find new lands, the hardships the family faced in each new location, and the joys of making a life in the wilderness.  In addition, Janet as Laura presents tales of her husband’s youth in northern New York.

Sponsored by Alpha Delta Kappa and the Idaho Humanities Council.  Idaho Humanities Council is a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
