St Augustine: America's Most Paintable City

May 31, 2014

St Augustine: America's Most Paintable City.  The always popular James "Zach" Zacharias, Senior Curator of Education and Curator of History at Daytona Beach Museum of Arts and Sciences, returns with a unique program highlighting the history of St. Augustine through the art of America's greatest painters who wintered there from 1876 to 1950. He uses oils, watercolors, impressionistic, and folk art images from the Cici and Hyatt Brown collection to illustrate this fascinating story.

Sponsor:  Ormond Beach Historical Society, Inc. and the Florida Humanities Council.  The Florida Humanities Council (FHC) is the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities
