Publications Interns Sought | ||

Humanities, an award-winning magazine, is seeking interns interested in the editorial aspects of magazine production: reporting, news and feature writing, photo research, and copyediting. Published by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the magazine covers research, education, preservation, museums, and media programs in the humanities in ways that are accessible to the general public. Topics of interest include modern and classical languages, linguistics, literature, history, law, philosophy, archaeology, comparative religion, and ethics. View Humanities at www.neh.gov. Applicants should have an interest in the humanities, strong writing and research skills, and two to three years of undergraduate education. Reporting experience is a plus. The internships are unpaid volunteer positions. Applications are accepted in July (for the fall semester), November (for the winter semester), and April (for the summer semester.) Students may work 16 to 40 hours per week. Students interested in academic credit should discuss this with their faculty advisers and with Anna Gillis (agillis@neh.gov or 202- 606-8435) before applying.
