ODH program officer Perry Collins will participate in a panel presentation at the Museum of the City of New York (MCNY) [2] on Tuesday, October 2nd, at 6pm. The event, Humanities and Technology Unite!, highlights a project funded through ODH's Digital Humanities Start-Up Grants [3]program that brought together MCNY with the technology company Tagasauris to enrich description of the Museum's vast digitized collections of photographs. Panel participants come from a variety of backgrounds and will offer thoughts on new opportunities for cultural heritage organizations interested in leveraging technology to improve access to collections, particularly through crowdsourcing and Semantic Web technologies.

Admission is free, but tickets are required (and going fast!). You can register here [2].
