Wheel of Cogitation

Oregon Humanities’ Wheel of Cogitation travels about to street fairs with the aim of starting conversations that lead to an exchange of ideas. Some of the sixteen questions willing conversationalists take their chances with are “To what do you devote yourself?”; “Who are your people?”; “Change which moment in history?”. Oregon Humanities’ communications director Kathleen Holt hopes the wheel draws people in who don’t ordinarily think of the humanities and what they are. “Ideas are everyone’s responsibility,” she says.
