A Day in the Life: Memoirs from the Middle East .  The book club series A Day in the Life: Memoirs from the Middle East explores the diversity of daily life in the Middle East and seeks to dispel common stereotypes about the region. The final discussion of the series in the series addresses Istanbul: Memories and the City by Orhan Pamuk.  The discussion will be led by Pelin Basci, associate professor of Turkish at Portland State University.
