Babe Ruth: A Chautauqua performance by Frank Mullen.   The City of Las Vegas Office of Cultural Affairs presents Babe Ruth, whose power hitting built modern baseball.

Journalist Frank Mullen will portray baseball legend Babe Ruth. Mullen is an investigative reporter who has been giving Chautauqua portrayals since 1999. His other characters include Henry VIII, Albert Einstein, General U.S. Grant, J.P. Morgan, John C. Fremont, and Edward R. Murrow. Mullen, author of The Donner Party Chronicals, a Nevada Humanities publication, has won national, regional, and statewide journalism and writing awards, and has twice been named Nevada's outstanding journalist by the Nevada Press Association.

This Chautauqua portrayal is presented through Humanities on the Road, a program of Nevada Humanities. Nevada Humanities is Nevada's nonprofit state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
