Rethinking the Puerto Rican Riots of 1974.  This exhibit explores the series of disturbances and confrontations that took place between Newark’s Puerto Rican community and city police in 1974.

All Day Event (check w/venue for hours).

A grant program administered by New Jersey Council for the Humanities and funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities serves as a catalyst for public humanities programs and provides financial support for other nonprofit organizations’ special projects.
