African American Children's Authors

February 22, 2014

African American Children's Authors.  Stories written by black authors take us to many intriguing places and introduce us to unforgettable characters such as talking animals and trickster heroes and heroines. This program, presented by Dr. Irene Owens, explores the lives and tales of black authors who invented stories for children or transcribed them from the oral tradition.

Free event.
