NEH’s Division of Public Programs grant categories Museums, Libraries, and Other Cultural Institutions (Planning and Implementation) and Media Projects (Development and Production) have two deadlines every year—in January and August. Museums, Libraries, and Other Cultural Institutions includes projects at historic sites, house museums, historical societies, and parks as well. Media Projects fund documentary film and radio programs.
The 2015 and 2016 deadlines are:
Museums, Libraries, and Other Cultural Institutions and Media Projects:
August 12, 2015
January 13, 2016
August 10, 2016
Digital Project for the Public and Bridging Cultures through Film:
June 10, 2015
June 8, 2016
New guidelines for all grant opportunities are posted on our website at least two months before a deadline.
The Division of Public Programs has as its mission to fund projects that bring quality humanities content to the American public. All of our grants support projects that explore stories, ideas, and beliefs that deepen our understanding of our lives and our world. Projects should encourage dialogue, discussion, and civic engagement, and they should foster learning among people of all ages.
If you are thinking about applying for any grant, we strongly encourage you to get in touch with us with any questions that you may have (email@example.com).
