Ancient Greeks and Romans Speak to the Modern Military

The University of Maryland is producing a series of short videos for the public on the value of research in the arts and humanities.  In this first video, Professor of Classics and former NEH grantee Judy Hallett discusses her research on the ancient Greeks and Romans and how the NEH-funded project “Ancient Greeks, Modern Lives” by the Aquila Theatre Company sheds new light on classical literature for the general public and members of the military in particular.

The Aquila Theatre Company received an Implementation grant for a national program series exploring classical literature.
