Building an Accessible Future for the Humanities

A series of four two-day workshops to be held at Northeastern University, Emory University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and the University of Texas, Austin.

A series of four two-day workshops to be held at Northeastern University, Emory University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and the University of Texas, Austin, on theoretical and practical approaches for making digital humanities scholarship accessible to blind, low-vision, deaf, and hard-of-hearing users.  An online guide of best practices with examples of humanities projects would be produced as a part of these workshops.

Workshop One: Northeastern University, Boston, MA -November 15-16, 2013 (deadline for applications is October 15, 2013)

Workshop Two: University of Texas- Austin, TX -February 28th-March 1 (deadline for applications is January 20, 2014)

Workshop Three: University of Nebraska, Lincoln, NE -fall of 2014

Workshop Four: Emory University, Atlanta, GA -winter of 2014/early 2015
