Rhode Island Council for the Humanities welcomes Interim Executive Director

May 11, 2012 | By Federal/State Partnership Staff

The Rhode Island Council for the Humanities (RICH) announced today that Alexandra W. Rollins, Principal of Alexandra Rollins Associates, will be joining RICH as Interim Executive Director following former executive Director Mary-Kim Arnold's departure at the end of April. Mary-Kim has joined the staff of the Rhode Island Foundation as the grants officer for arts and culture. We wish her all the best in her new position.

Ms. Rollins has come to RICH through the Executive Transition work with Third Sector New England. She is a highly qualified and experienced museum and arts management professional with strong ties to New England and Rhode Island. Ms. Rollins holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Harvard's Kennedy School, and an MA in American Material Culture and Museum Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to her strong educational background, over the past twenty years Alexandra has also developed an impressive record as an Executive Director or Interim Executive Director at a wide range of cultural organizations spanning from government agencies to small non-profits. She brings enormous enthusiasm to the task of supporting organizational development in the non-profit sector.
