Maryland Humanities Council launches new radio program on WYPR March 18

Tune in on Monday, March 18 at 5:45pm to hear the first installment of Humanities Connection, MHC's new weekly segment on 88.1FM WYPR, your NPR news station. WYPR 88.1FM reaches listeners in Baltimore, Frederick, Hagerstown and sister station, WYPO 106.9FM, serves Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Humanities Connection will feature MHC Speakers Bureau scholars, community leaders, and Maryland nonprofits who have received MHC support for humanities programming around the state. Segments will celebrate the power of literature, the importance of lifelong learning, and offer reflections on our cultural heritage.

Once they air, segment podcasts will be available on www.WYPR.org. Additional dynamic content and resources pertaining to each segment will also be available at the Maryland Humanities Council website, www.mdhc.org.
