Next Start-Up Grant Deadline: October 8, 2008

Just a quick announcement that the next Digital Humanities Start-Up Grants deadline will be October 8, 2008.  I should note that a slightly revised version of the guidelines will go up on the NEH website in August.  However, the revisions will be quite minor, so please do consult last year's guidelines in the meantime as you begin to plan your application.  I will send out another announcement as soon as the new guidelines are ready.

November 4, 2008:  Deadline for the DFG/NEH Bilateral Digital Humanities Program: Symposia and Workshops program.
Collaborative Research Deadline

November 5, 2008: Deadline for Collaborative Research program. 
History of Science Society Annual Meeting

November 6-9, 2008: NEH Staff will be speaking at the History of Science Society Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Supercomputing 2008 Conference

November 15 - 21:  On November 18th, NEH Chairman Bruce Cole will be giving a talk entitled "Humanities Scholarship in the Petabyte Age" at the Supercomputing 2008 Conference in Austin, Texas.
American Historical Association Annual Meeting

January 2-5, 2009: NEH Staff will be speaking at the American Historical Association Annual Meeting in New York, New York.
