Abstract: Our work to find solutions for overcoming some of the challenges in the field of Celtic Studies in the United States has led us to envision adopting and extending emerging technological tools, especially digital libraries and social collaborative software. The Finding the Celtic project will be an exemplar of a next-generation digital humanities collaboratory (a virtual workspace that allows multiple users to contribute to, discuss, edit and utilize a common body of information) that exploits information visualization techniques.
