Federal/State Partnership
What we do
NEH’s Federal/State Partnership is a model of American federalism in action. This collaborative effort, dedicated to the study and enjoyment of the humanities in the public sphere, links a national agency with fifty-six nonprofit state and jurisdictional humanities councils. Through its programs, the Federal/State Partnership and the individual councils advance knowledge and understanding of the humanities, and increase public awareness of the humanities.
